Creativity Regenerates asks: “What happens when the arts become the vehicle for people to visualize a better future? What happens when we create tangible artifacts to anchor this vision into a roadmap for transformation?”

The arts invite different parts of our being forward. When we bring these latent parts of ourselves into collaborative conversations, new possibilities for relating and creating are born.

We are facing a crisis. A collective reckoning. When we come together to hold these challenges, collectively, we access a deeper understanding of what we are facing and with this awareness, the power to direct our creative energy towards actualizing a liberated future.

When we invite creativity into how we dialogue about our challenges, different avenues for conversation and creation open up. This richness allows us to better understand where we are and where it is we want to be going. This perspective in turn informs the literal creation of this world. Our lives are a creative activity.

Studies have shown that imagining the movement of certain body parts nearly trains the muscles as much as actual movement.  The practice has been used to increase performance in sports athletes and in the world of transformative psychology, so why not in our communities and our movements? Why not in our pursuit of collective liberation?

My theory is that through creative collaboration, self reflection and creatively facilitated visualizations, we will better understand the steps needed to bring our ideal visions into reality by creating artifacts that anchor our knowing and begin to shift the type of information we prioritize in our lives and why. I also believe that these sessions will allow folx to see our shared humanity and build with one another.

I do not have the answers. I have a lot of curiosity and questions. Please join me and bring your questions, curiosity and dreams for us to explore together.
